A day for Brownies with an adult leader. Young leaders are welcome too!
Designed to cover the Aviation interest badge for Brownies. Gain some new skills, learn about things that fly, make some airplanes, a rocket and other things that go into the air.
Please aim to arrive at 1:30pm ready for a 2:00pm start. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or snacks if you wish.
The day is based outdoors with limited shelter, so please dress according to the weather conditions. You will need a rain jacket, sturdy footwear – boots or trainers - water bottle, unbreakable camp mug, a packed lunch or snack, personal medications and anything else you think you will need for a day out.
At least one leader known to the participants is required to attend the day. Participants will need an Information and consent form (available from the Girlguiding website). Make sure you include activities for the aviation badge and include trampolines in the description. You will also need to bring your unit first aid kit.
Hot drinks will be available.
(Please note this is a general skills day and may not cover the entire criteria for badges. However, we aim to give you the skills required for your Aviation badge. Any tools and equipment required will be provided.)
