Kaboom! 2013

Kaboom! saw 6,000 members from all sections, leaders and volunteers take over the Science Museum to show that science is for everyone.

The weekend started with Girlguiding LaSER's very own Science Museum 'Late' event on the Friday, where members got to explore science while enjoying activities like a silent disco, cockroach tours, quizzes and 'have your say' events.

We made UV lights, clocks and robots. We loved the silent disco, we loved loads of things!

— Ella, Olive, Georgia & Niamh, 23rd Bethnal Green Guides, London

During the day on Saturday and Sunday, members got to experience all the museum has to offer, including exclusive use of the IMAX for those of Brownie age and above and a special show for Rainbows elsewhere. There was also a 70th birthday celebration for the Trefoil Guild on the Saturday.

We LOVE science, it's really exciting and it's been a great surprise.

— Sophie, Daisy and Natasha, 3rd Paddington Brownies

On the Saturday night, 450 girls had the amazing opportunity to sleepover in the museum, with lots of after-hours activities. At the end of the weekend, everyone received a special badge and goodie bag.

It was great fun because you don't get to sleep at a museum every day!
