Easy Christmas Cookies!
Although Christmas is going to be a bit different this year, and we cant do what we hoped, there are still things we can do to keep ourselves busy. I came across this easy sugar cookie recipe with only three ingredients the other week from BBC Good Food, which you may enjoy making! You don’t have to make these at Christmas (as you can probably tell by the picture), but they are a great light snack to have near the festive season. Here are a few ideas of what you can do with the recipe:
- 1. Do it with friends and family
Even though we can’t see our friends and family at the moment, the wonders of technology allow us to connect with them in this weird time. You could organise a cook along one day or night, or even a competition of who can decorate the best cookie! Whatever you decide, it is a great way to connect and have a lovely product at the end for you to enjoy.
- 2. Cookie cutters
If you can find any Christmas cookie cutters to match this festive time, they are much appreciated. If you don’t have cookie cutters, then that is fine too! You can always cut around the dough with a knife and make yourself your own unique shapes. This would be a great challenge even if you do have your own. You can even hang these up on the tree! Just poke a hole in the top to thread some ribbon through them.
- 3. Decorations
You don’t have to make the icing of the recipe, but they look great decorated. You could decorate them with different colours, or maybe just some Christmas sprinkles. You may want to choose a theme to run through all of your cookies or just want to decorate them however your heart wishes. If you do decide to hang these up on the tree, make sure that they are fully dried and don’t have too much on them.
