December 2020 blogging memo

Welcome to your last blogging memo of 2020 - and what a year it's been.

We've all been doing our best to #CarryonGuiding this year, and we've been amazed by the creative, innovative and kind ways our volunteers have kept in touch with their units throughout some really difficult months. We know that this will have been a huge support and comfort to our young members.

We've been sharing some of these stories through our blogs, and it's been great to hear from so many of you about what Guiding has looked like for you this year. We hope that you have also found the blogs inspiring and informative.

What have we been blogging about?

The last few weeks have seen some great blogs from The Hive - cinema club, woman of the month, creative anthologies and thoughts on lockdown to name a few.

The Hive is Girlguiding LaSER's space for members aged 14-30 find out more in their latest update.

Take a look at any of the linked articles, and then read more blog posts the news page on the Girlguiding LaSER website, along with recent copies of Raspberry Ripple and previous Blogging Memos. You can also find links here to the latest Coronavirus / Covid-19 advice.

Want to blog but not sure where to start? We've got just the thing. We've created some handy hints and tips for how to write a blog for the website, with some links to previous blogs that have been popular with readers. You can access this on the Resources section of the LaSER website.

We want to carry on sharing your stories in 2021 - no matter how big or small. We know that reading about Guiding activities encourages girls and young women to sign up, and volunteers to offer their time, so let us know what you've been up to and help us to let everyone know about the fantastic opportunities available.

Know someone else who wants to receive this memo? Just let us know and we can add them to the list.
