‘Shrek’ Pack Holiday

5^th & 8^th Worcester Park Brownies spent just 5 days ( 4  nights ) at Radcliffe Hall in Croydon.

It was very exciting to wake up the first morning to find a good layer of snow on the ground. The conditions were ideal and amused us all for some time throwing snowballs, making snow angels and of course several huge snowmen. Very conveniently the snow lasted long enough to be a novelty but not to make later conditions slippery or dangerous. We carried out the usual chores for the holiday and practised peeling potatoes, washing up and enjoyed making cakes and mini muffin pizzas.  We also  tie and dyed T shirts to wear for our swamp party on the last night and practised our circus skills. The day before we came home we caught the train to Brighton for the day, the forecast was not good but the weather turned out to be brilliant so we picnicked on the beach, walked out on the pier and after lunch in a beach café and a visit to the Sealife Centre we were so hot that we HAD to relax on the beach with an ice cream! What an amazing selection of weather in just a few days.
