The Centenary Challenge

The KZN Passport

The Centenary Challenge

The Region Executive has endorsed the International Centenary Challenge and so it goes out to every member in the Region - from the smallest Rainbow to the Trefoil Guilds.

  • How can you get involved?
  • What contribution will you make?
  • On your own or with others?

Change someone's life - it could be your own.

International Service Project Teams

The Executive will be sending 100 Senior Section members to the Service Project in South Africa in the Centenary year. If you will be aged between 14 - 26 years old in 2010 and you are an active member of Girlguiding UK in the Region you are eligible to put yourself forward for a place on a Region team going to God's Golden Acre in 2010. Contact your County International Adviser or the Region office. Email - Click to email Region Office

The KZN Passport

Everyone in the Region can participate in the KZN Passport. (See KZN passport PDF below) This is a challenge which asks Units/Groups to complete several clauses and raise at least £20. Send this money to Region and it will go to the ‘Houses of Hope' work done by God's Golden Acre. You will get a badge for completing the KZN Passport.

The South Africa 2008 team worked on one of the new houses built for a family whose home had become uninhabitable. LaSER would like to be able to raise enough money to build one or more of these homes for families who would otherwise be homeless.
