RAINBOWS GO WILD AT LONDON ZOO TO CELEBRATE GIRLGUIDING UK'S CENTENARY YEAR
On Saturday 15th May over 1,500 Rainbows (aged 5-7 years) from across London and the South East of England ‘went wild' at London Zoo to celebrate Girlguiding UK's Centenary year. Rainbows had the opportunity to learn about the animals in the zoo as well as take part in exclusive attractions such as hippo teeth cleaning, monkey feeding and llama walks.
Anne Hudson, Girlguiding London and South East England Chief Commissioner said, "All our Rainbows were very excited about their visit to London Zoo and they enjoyed learning more about the animals whilst having a lot of fun. This event was a wonderful opportunity for Rainbows to come together on a special girls' day out to celebrate Girlguiding UK's Centenary year. In guiding we want to give as many girls as possible the opportunities to experience new adventures and understand the world that they live in and this trip is just one of hundreds of examples of the kinds of things that we do."
