LaSER's Trefoil Guild raising money for God's Golden Acre

God's Golden Acre - Houses of Hope.

During London & SE England's Trefoil Guild Leisure Break at the Lakeside Coastal Resort, Hayling Island in May this year a raffle was held, the proceeds going to Girlguiding LaSER's Centenary Service Project for God's Golden Acre.

The 356 members present raised the wonderful sum of £1,000, a fifth of the cost of one new home.  Moyra Carey, Region Chairman, presented Anne Hudson, Region Chief Commissioner, with a cheque for this sum during the Campfire singalong on the Thursday evening.

Anne said that money for one new home had already been raised this year and that the Trefoil Guild members' generosity during the leisure break, meant that the Region was well on the way to raising sufficient funds for yet one more new home to be built by the girls going out to South Africa this August.
