Glyn Martin presented with Laurel Award

There are so many wonderful opportunities and duties to undertake as your Chief Commissioner and awarding a colleague and peer who has become a friend ranks right up there at the top, so I was delighted to be able to present Glyn Martin, who was the County Commissioner of Sussex East, with the Guide Association's Laurel Award on Friday 11 June.

Glyn has been a member since 1981 when she joined the 12th Epsom Guide Unit to become a Leader in Training.  Since then Glyn has undertaken many roles including Guide Leader, Division and County Advisers, District Commissioner, Trainer and Assistant to the Region Adult Support and Programme Initiatives team.  In everything that Glyn has done the girl is always at the centre, being allowed to grow and learn.

With All Our Love Glyn, a well deserved award.
