As we're sure you know, this year we launched the Police Challenge badge for Guides. This has been very popular, and we'd like to extend the fun to Brownies!
In order to do this, we would like to set up a working group to work with both Girlguiding LaSER and the Met Police to complete tasks including:
- Producing age appropriate, inclusive and accessible activities for the pack.
- Reviewing suitability of activities with Brownies.
- Producing a marketing plan.
This opportunity is open to any member of Girlguiding LaSER aged 14+. It may be of particular interest to those completing their Queen's Guide award because by participating in full you will be eligible to complete your Element 4.
If you are interested in taking part in this opportunity, please submit a statement of no more than 500 words explaining your interest in the project and why you think you are right for it to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on Sunday 5 January.
We are also looking for a chair for this working group. If you would be interested in taking a lead on this project, please submit a statement of no more than 500 words explaining your interest in the role and why you think you are right for it in the same way and by the same deadline as above.
Once the deadline has passed, we will be in touch with all applicants letting them know whether they have been successful, at which point the working group brief and timeline will be shared. We are aiming to have the first test of the complete pack with Brownies in May 2020.
We look forward to meeting our next Police Challenge working group!
