Other accommodation and camping

Lordfield is on the top site with beautiful views across the Shaws Valley to Downe Bank; it is close the site office, onsite activities; archery, trampolines, and a short walk downhill to the campfire circle, zip wire and activity area.

The campsite is at the same level as the Silver Birches and Badgers holiday houses and could be used together for a large scale event.

Beechwood is a large flat field on the Lower Site in the Shaws Valley, facing west to catch the evening sun.

Bound on one side with long-established hedgerows, and on the other by chalk land meadows (with the grass sledging bank). The campfire circle is only a 10 minute walk away – allowing time to climb the hill! – on the way to the camp office, shop and more activities; trampolining and archery.

Copps Cottage is nearby and the two facilities can be used together.

This hut is a good facility for small gatherings/meetings or as a focal point for a limited size camp, providing some under cover space.

Originally designed for girls with disabilities, it nestles in the valley on the lower site. There is a fully equipped kitchen with adjoining activity room, electric storage heaters, flush toilets and hot showers! Immediately outside is a paved area and there is plenty of grass space for activities.

There is plenty of choice in the 92 acres at Cudham Shaws – small glades for Patrols or Rangers and many areas for Unit camps. There are also large flat areas suitable for district, division, or county event/gatherings. All sites have access to have mains water, flush toilets. There are some showers available on both the top & lower sites at an additional charge.
Camping is flexible, either hire a fully equipped site or bring your own tent.
