Guides Geocaching Skills Day

A day for Guides designed to cover the Geocaching interest badge and learn some GPS skills all over our towns and countryside.

A day for Guides with an adult leader. Young leaders are welcome too!

Gain some navigation skills, learn about what Geocaching is, find some caches and place one of your own.

Please aim to arrive at 10:00am ready for a 10:30am start. The day is based outdoors with limited shelter, so please dress according to the weather conditions. You will need a rain jacket, sturdy footwear – boots or trainers - water bottle, unbreakable camp mug, a packed lunch, personal medications and anything else you think you will need for a day out.

At least one leader known to the participants is required to attend the day. Participants will need an Information and Consent form (available from the Girlguiding website) and you will also need to bring your unit first aid kit.

Hot drinks will be available.

(Please note this is a general skills day and may not cover the entire criteria for badges. However, we aim to give you the skills required for your Geocaching badge. Any tools and equipment required will be provided).
