When you fill out the form, you will see this message: "Your response has been submitted. We will contact you within the next 2 weeks to let you know if you have been successful." If you can see that, then we've received your entry!

We aren't able to contact everyone who enters, so please note that we will only be in touch with you if you are successful in securing places. You can expect to hear from us within two weeks of sign-ups closing.

There are 100 places available for Brownies. You will be able to book places for a maximum of ten girls and two leaders.

Please wear your guiding uniform.

Yes, you will need to provide a home contact for your group. You will be asked to share a home contact name and number with us before the event. We will hold this information until the end of the event and then destroy it.

There will be a risk assessment provided for this event, however you will be required to create your own risk assessment for travel to and from the event.

All participants' parents/guardians will need to complete the following four forms to take part:

  1. Girlguiding LaSER event consent form.
  2. Google Waiver and Release form.
  3. Google Agreement of Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure form.
  4. Girlguiding photo consent form.

Yes, all girls will receive a Google's Digital Adventure badge.

The event is free and lunch will be provided. Travel is at unit's own expense.

The event will start at 10am and finish at 3.30pm. A full agenda will be shared with attendees closer to the event.

Please let us know as soon as possible by contacting info@girlguidinglaser.org.uk so we can reallocate your places.

Bookings went live at 9am on Monday 2 December and closed at 9am on Tuesday 3 December.

After bookings have closed, places will be allocated by ballot. Please note:

  • Leaders can only book places for a maximum of 10 Brownies and two leaders.
  • Groups can be made up of a single unit or girls and leaders from multiple units.
  • If a successful group can no longer attend, we will take another ballot from the remaining groups who registered in the initial 24 hour period.

100 Brownies @ Google will take place at Google's UK HQ: 6 Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London, N1C 4AG.

10am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 19 February 2020.

Girlguiding UK has formed a partnership with Google to help inspire more girls to become computer programmers and engineers. We have been offered this fantastic opportunity for our membership as part of this ongoing partnership. You can find out more about the Google partnership here.

Brownies will have the opportunity to complete and earn Google’s Digital Adventure badge on the day. Also, they’ll be able to experience virtual reality using Google Cardboard (virtual reality headset glasses) and experiment with animation. Furthermore, there will be breakout spots where Google’s latest technology will be available to explore!
