Take your unit to a virtual workshop with the Microsoft Store

Written by Girlguiding LaSER

The flagship Microsoft Store on Oxford Circus is offering a selection of free virtual workshops. As part of our ongoing relationship with them, we're pleased to be able to offer these sessions to units to sign up for!

You can view the full workshop menu here.

These workshops will be private and delivered just for your unit, though you would be welcome to organise a workshop in conjunction with other units in your area. The maximum capacity of the workshops is currently 30 people.

The workshops will take place via the Microsoft Teams platform. Participants won't be required to download Microsoft Teams to attend because you can easily access the platform through your browser - but leaders and girls will need a device and a good internet connection to take part. Attendees are not invited to turn their video camera on during the workshop to ensure a safe & secure environment for all.

If you're interested in arranging one of the workshops, please fill out this form where you'll be asked to provide days and times that suit you, as well as to choose your preferred session.

Once you have completed this form a Microsoft Store colleague will be in touch to arrange a suitable date and time for your workshop and talk through how the workshop will work. For those that wish there will be an opportunity for leaders to have time at the beginning and end of the session to talk to your unit and do any welcomes, goodbyes, songs etc.

The workshops will be delivered by two members of the Microsoft Store team. There will be an opportunity to ask questions in the chat-box or speak to the facilitators if assistance is required.
