I joined Brownies when I was 7 years old and have never left the movement! Since I was 20, I have run the guide unit where I was a guide. I did a stint as district commissioner a long time ago. I love the out of doors so I then spent many years as division camp adviser. After getting involved in our Guide centenary celebrations by leading the launch party, I took on the county outdoors activities adviser role. I loved that role as it was varied and involved me in working with all sections. I am just completing my first year as a county commissioner which has been challenging but am hoping the next four years will be less so!
When I am not guiding, I enjoy walking and have done some long distance walks to raise money for various charities including part of the Great Wall of China for my local hospice.
