Kate Fawell-Comley

Kate is our assistant chief commissioner, with responsibility for volunteer experience. She is passionate about ensuring all of our volunteers in the region feel supported and valued and are provided with flexible volunteering and learning and development opportunities.

Kate has volunteered with Girlguiding for 12 years, initially as a Brownies Leader, but with experience gained since as a Rainbows and Guides leader and assistant division commissioner in London North West county. Her past roles include sitting on the national Quality Steering Group and on the Task & Finish Group that developed the 18-30 Inspire offer. She has participated in two Girlguiding Overseas Linked with Development (GOLD) projects, one in-person to Rwanda in 2015 and leading a virtual project with the Nigerian Girl Guides Association in 2020-2021. She also previously held the role of lead volunteer for ambassadors for Girlguiding London and South East England and has volunteered as a Peer Educator. She obtained her Queen's Guide Award in 2018.

Kate works as a solicitor-advocate, specialising in healthcare law. In her free time, she enjoys playing and listening to music, running, swimming and baking.
