Girlguiding LaSER International Opportunities, also known as LaSERIO expeditions, are for Guides and Rangers aged 14-17 at the time of travel. One out of five yearly LaSERIO expeditions is for adults only, where participating members need to be aged 18-25 at the time of travel.
Selected girls and LaSERIO expedition leaders will be allocated a region grant to help towards their travel costs.
Each year our LaSERIO expedition groups design badges to help them fundraise. Some even come with activity packs!

Our 2019 expeditions are going to Argentina, Mongolia, Thailand and Uganda; our 2020 expeditions are due to take place in India, the Philippines, Kenya and China!

If you are a leader (holding an adult leadership qualification) aged 18-65 and you might like to run a future region expedition, contact us to be sent an application form. Applicants are invited to a region selection event in March.
If you are successful through these rounds you’ll be invited to the LaSERIO weekend in September where the teams for the region expeditions will be formed. These expeditions will depart the following summer.
Why not apply for GOLD or get involved in UN or WAGGGS international conferences on issues that women and girls face. There are also regular international events including Moot, Roverway and the World Scout Jamboree!
