Inspired by the shared history and vision of the Suffragettes and Girlguiding movements, and in conjunction with Royal Holloway’s ‘Vote100’ celebrations (funded by the Lottery Heritage Fund), Egham Rangers went on a journey to discover more about their own guiding and suffragist history, in order to become more engaged with, and inspired by current social and political discourse. The girls kicked off their project by setting our some questions they wanted to answer;

What is my place in society? What does the notion of ‘female citizenship’ mean? Is my voice heard? How do I stand up and speak out for what I believe in?

Over the course of this project, Egham Rangers have designed their own ‘Libertea’ badge. Suitable for all Girlguiding members, the ‘Libertea’ challenge pack seeks to help each girl recognise their worth and the power of their own unique voice. We have extended the deadline for badge orders into 2019 - get yours now!
