Great Big Green Week
The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of Community Action to tackle climate change and protect nature, and everyone’s invited! Help us make the 24 September - 2 October the greatest, biggest, greenest week the UK has ever seen by running an activity with your unit!
Girlguiding LaSER are getting involved in this event as part of our partnership with the RSPB, which enables girls to enjoy, discover and help nature. The RSPB are one of many partner organisations involved in the Great Big Green Week.
There are lots of resources to make it easy for you, ranging from activity ideas to posters and colouring sheets from some of the UK’s best loved illustrators such as Cressida Cowell and Lydia Monk. You could take your unit outside to discover nature, run a craftivism activity to make a green heart or write letters as part of the national ‘letters for the future’ campaign. If you want to take it further, consider putting on an event for families or the wider community.
