Girlguiding LaSER Walks MILES
So far Girlguiding LaSER has walked 2,515 miles.
That is nearly halfway to Sangam (5,681 miles). With only 33 units/individuals having logged any miles so far, it shows we have great potential. The highest number of miles by any one unit/individual is still a fantastic 800. Can your unit beat that? How far can your unit walk? Thank you to those who have started to log some miles.
Please do continue to, or start to log how far you or your unit have walked. It’s certainly not too late to start this challenge. See below.
How far can Girlguiding LaSER walk in the Summer Term of 2014?
The aim of the challenge is to encourage all Girlguiding LaSER members to get out and walk – whether to school, work or for ‘a walk’.
As a leader all you need to do is:
• ask your girls to record the miles they walk
• award certificates after particular distances have been achieved (these are cumulative distances a bit like the Nights Away badge)
• log the certificates awarded or simply the miles your unit has walked
You can include walks from the first day after Easter: Tuesday 22nd April.

Yellow is the new Raspberry!
Heathrow Division sprinkled some princess magic on their Big Brownie Birthday Stay Away
100+ Brownies descended on Chalfont Heights Scout Camp on Friday 9 May for a fun-filled weekend of Princess themed activities.
A Pocahontas campfire kicked off the first evening with lots of lively singing. Girls returned to their dormitories to find an invitation to the Cinderella Ball on their pillow.
Four activities took place throughout Saturday which included making decorated hair clips with Rapunzel, cooking cupcakes with Tiana, a nature trail with Pocahontas and belly dancing with Jasmine.
The day ended with a fantastic Cinderella ball (disco) of music and party games and Cinderella herself turned up to have her photograph taken with each girl; a memento that they took home in a specially designed frame.
Sunday began with a hearty breakfast before the Brownies headed off for a further four activities; trinket boxes with Ariel, chocolate apples with Snow White, Archery with Merida and enchanted tales with Belle.
Sounds like fun! Please continue to tell us about your Big Brownie Birthday Events
