Success for peer education in 2025

The region's peer educators had a busy 2025, delivering 162 peer education sessions and reaching 2157 young members. Representing 37% of peer education sessions nationally, this puts London and South East England peer educators out on top among countries and regions. Well done!

You could also find the region's peer educators at our May-hem event, region international selection days, and at an incredible 22 sessions in local schools as part of a Girlguiding pilot project.

In 2026, peer educators are looking forward to Cityscapes, co-creating a new resource with our partners at the RSPB, training peer educators to become Period Proud Peers, a review and rebrand of peer education, plus all the usual impact of session delivery and training.

With 127 peer educators in the region, now is the perfect time to request one for a unit meeting.

And, if you're 14-25 and interested in becoming a peer educator, we have a training coming up next month.
