The Queen's 90th Birthday!

Girlguiding Surrey East

On Saturday 21 May, 350 members of Girlguiding Surrey East County came together to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. They spent the day at the counties camp site/holiday house, Faurefold at Westcott. The afternoon was filled with 20 royal themed crafts and activities, which included decorating crowns, making sweetie bracelets, duck racing, creating bunting, queen trail, and creating castles (dens) in the woods.

They had their very own Queen attend the afternoon, our very own Reigate Trefoil Guild member, Liz Vahey.

‘Our Queen’ processed down The Mall to cut the cake and a trumpeter then played the National Anthem and Happy Birthday.

The girls were served by local Trefoil Guild members during heavy rain by high spirits remained throughout the event.
