Would you like to get involved with Girlguiding at a region level? Do you want the chance to influence and inspire thousands of members across London and South East England? If so, we’ve got a range of specialist roles to take you further. We encourage everyone to consider applying for region roles, especially those aged 18-30.
Region chief commissioner
We are excited to share that applications are now open for the role of region chief commissioner for Girlguiding London and South East England. The chief commissioner is the most senior volunteer in the region, providing strategic leadership, effective governance and delivery of the Girlguiding vision and strategy. The chief commissioner will shape the future of Girlguiding in the region and will be a strong link between Girlguiding and local guiding.
If you or someone you know has the passion, vision, and leadership skills to help guide the region forward, we would love to hear from you. Applications close on Wednesday 4 March at 5pm.

Leader Development Programme (LDP) coordinator
The LDP coordinator will play a key role in empowering volunteers across the region, supporting them to become leaders in Girlguiding. You will work closely with our lead volunteer for Learning and Development and join her team. You’ll work with County LDP coordinators across the region to shape learning and development opportunities and develop approaches to support leaders in training and mentors. Applications close on Thursday 19 February.
Young Leader Development Programme (YLDP) coordinator
The YLDP coordinator will play a key role in empowering young leaders across our region. You will work closely with our lead volunteer for Learning and Development and join her team as well as liaising with the Girl Experience team. You’ll work with County YLDP coordinators across the region to shape learning and development opportunities and develop approaches to support young leaders and their unit leaders. Applications close on Thursday 19 February.
Queen's Guide opportunities
The new Queen's Guide award has a requirement to volunteer at region level. Please complete our questionnaire if you are currently completing your Queen's Guide and need a region level opportunity.
