Travelling Abroad Training
Experiencing an international adventure is a unique and exciting opportunity for our young members and adults alike. Travelling abroad provides new experiences, teaches valuable skills and creates memories that last a lifetime.
Are you working towards Travelling Abroad, module 9 of the Going Away With scheme or considering leading your first trip abroad? Join us for Travelling Abroad training in London on 24 June where you will learn all about planning and leading an international trip for your girls. Topics will include planning processes and timelines, budgets, leadership team roles and responsibilities, risk assessment, involving the young people in decision-making and considering sustainability within your trip.
Date and time: Saturday 24 June 2023, 9:30am arrival for 10am – 4:30pm
Location: central London, location TBC
Cost: £10 per person. This is a legitimate guiding expense, and we would encourage you to explore whether your unit or local guiding area are able to financially support your attendance.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis on completion of the form below and payment of £10. Places are limited to volunteers in our region only, unless spaces are still available nearer the time. We will close bookings at the end of Sunday 11 June if not already fully booked.
