Girlguiding’s Recruitment and Vetting policy, and Health, Safety and Welfare policy are due to be reviewed. They would like your views on the updates and to ask you how the policies and procedures could be made clearer.

The Girlguiding volunteer policy team are consulting on the recruitment and vetting policy/procedure and the health, safety and welfare policy/procedure until the end of July.

The recruitment and vetting policy states that everyone is responsible for making sure our members stay safe. Recruiting and vetting of volunteers helps make this happen. The procedures explain the volunteer recruitment process and how all adult members and recognised volunteers over the age of 18 must complete the recruitment and vetting process relevant to them. The policy and its procedures are due to be reviewed. We’d like your views on how the policy and procedures can be make clearer. Please complete the survey by 9pm on Sunday 31 July.

We’d also welcome your feedback on the health, safety and welfare policy and procedure. The policy has had a small update regarding young volunteers aged 16 and over being able to attend planning meetings in private homes. We’ve created some guidance to help you to understand the change. If you’d like to provide any feedback about the update, or the policy and procedure more generally, please complete the consultation survey by 9pm Sunday 31 July.
