Football is for everyone

Girlguiding LaSER members have been out supporting the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and having a great time watching the matches, like the 1st Wadhurst Guide Unit, Sussex East Girlguiding County, who were very inspired by the teams and how they worked together!

“I loved going to the Womens Euro’s match in Brighton. I’ve never been to a football stadium before and had no idea how big it would be! It was so exciting to be part of, and an amazing experience. Lilly Anne - 1st Wadhurst Guide Unit

“It was very inspiring to see ladies working together as a team, and great to see what can be achieved with hard work and commitment. The atmosphere in Brighton Stadium was uplifting and fun. To be part of the mexican wave, which successfully travelled around the stadium many times was hilarious. It made us all feel very proud to be part of the group that started it off!” Esther - 1st Wadhurst Guide Unit

Girls from the Denton & Newhaven Guide unit and Newhaven Ranger unit in Sussex East Girlguiding County had the great honour of displaying the national flags before the Austria v Norway match at the Amex Community stadium in Brighton. Girlguiding really does take us to some special places!
