LaSER Celebrates the Jubilee

On Thursday 2 June at 9.50pm, seven Girlguiding Beacons lit up our region! Middlesex North West Girlguiding County ran a drawing competition to select a young member to light their Jubilee Beacon at the Willowtree Centre. The winner was Jasmine from 1st Headstone Rainbow Unit with this fabulous drawing. Well done Jasmine, we hope you enjoyed the moment!

Rother Valley District in Sussex West Girlguiding County planted a tree for the Jubilee! Members donated and planted an ornamental cherry tree for the Queen’s Green Canopy, which will be a beautiful lasting legacy enjoyed by future generations.

Middlesex East Girlguiding County wrote in to tell us about their celebrations. They created a challenge pack, asking units across the county to send cards to the Queen and to create Jubilee unit banners which went on display at their beacon lighting event!

Well done to 9th Caterham Guide unit from Surrey East Girlguiding County, for winning a prize at their local Spring Show. The unit created a wonderful Jubilee tabletop display showing the Queen's reign through the decades.
