As you will have seen, new measures announced by the UK Government on 16 March 2020 around Coronavirus (Covid-19) advise against all non-essential travel and social contact. As a result, we have taken the decision to close the Girlguiding LaSER office from 5pm today until further notice. The Cudham Shaws Outdoor Centre and Chigwell Row Campsite are also closed from today and will remain closed until units reopen. Further details about this can be found below.
All office staff will be working from home during this closure and we will do our best to keep business running as usual. However, as a result of this, our capacity and ability to fulfil some of our duties will be limited and we ask for your patience during this time.
While the office is closed, we will not be receiving or sending post. This means that we will not be processing or sending out badge orders, requests for marketing materials or anything else that may be submitted to us via post. We will also not be receiving phone calls and ask that all contact is directed to email@example.com.
All event and site bookings for Cudham Shaws Outdoor Centre and Chigwell Row Campsite will be suspended until April 30 2020. We will be reviewing this periodically in light of advice from the government and Girlguiding and will update you accordingly. Those who already have bookings will be contacted directly. Please contact each campsite directly by email if you have any queries.
Events planned for future dates will be reviewed against government advice closer to the time, at which point we will communicate with attendees regarding their status.
You will be aware that Girlguiding has taken the decision to suspend UK Girlguiding unit meetings with immediate effect. We realise that this news is upsetting and hope that you will support your friends and girls within the Girlguiding community at this time, as well as those beyond our network. You can view Girlguiding's full statement here and they will be updating that page to answer questions as new and relevant information is received. Keeping our community safe is our top priority.
