Welcome to your June blogging memo!
Over the last weeks we know that units across the region have adapted how they run meetings and share activities. We also know that our members are looking for help and advice on how volunteers are doing this, and what activities have been working well. If you've got some advice - we want to hear from you! Let us know how you're helping to #CarryonGuiding while we can't meet in person.
What have we been blogging about?
Since our last memo we've had some great blogs posted.
- We hear from Caroline about her international Guiding experiences
- The Hive write about our June badge of the month - Women's Rights
- Helen has written three more blogs in her 'Blogs for the Foreseeable' series
- We've got a post on Community spirit in Bethersden
- Issy and Lily have written a post on keeping the Guiding spirit alive with campfire songs
- The Hive have written about World Bee Day 2020
- We hear about Northwood Brownies' virtual pack holiday
You can read these blog posts the news page on the Girlguiding LaSER website, along with recent copies of Raspberry Ripple and previous Blogging Memos. You can also find links to the latest Coronavirus / Covid-19 advice.
Want to blog but not sure where to start? We've got just the thing. We've created some handy hints and tips for how to write a blog for the website, with some links to previous blogs that have been popular with readers. You can access this on the Resources section of the LaSER website.
We really want to make this the year we share your stories - no matter how big or small. We know that reading about Guiding activities encourages girls and young women to sign up, and volunteers to offer their time, so let us know what you've been up to and help us to let everyone know about the fantastic opportunities available.
Know someone else who wants to receive this memo? Just let us know and we can add them to the list.
Our blog posts cover a variety of topics ranging from what our members are getting up to in meetings, Girlguiding initiatives and opportunities, and important issues. We'd love to hear from all of you about how you're adapting your meetings and helping girls to #CarryonGuiding.
We want to shout about the great work each of our units are doing, and want to feature different units showing what they've been up to. If your unit would like to be featured in an upcoming blog post let us know at email@example.com.
If you've got any other ideas for a blog, or if you already have something drafted, please drop us a line.
Similarly, if you know of anyone else guiding in LaSER who you think would like to be involved in blogging then please do send them our details!
